The Acoustical Society of Argentina (Asociación de Acústicos Argentinos) has been created to support educational, research and dissemination activities in the field of Acoustics in Argentina, as well as to interact with similar organizations from other countries. Its members belong to various specialties, such as Engineering, Architecture, Physics, Material Science, Audiology.

Several of its members are regular members of the Acoustics and Electroacoustics Committee of the Institute of Standardization of Argentina (IRAM), carrying out an important activity in order to standardize measurement and assessment procedures, acoustical instruments, etc.

It is a member of the Iberoamerican Federation of Acoustics, which also includes the Brazilian Society of Acoustics, the Chilean Society of Acoustics, the Acoustical Society of Spain, the Peruvian Society of Acoustics and the Mexican Society of Acoustics.
